Car Show Winners
We had 5 trophies again this year (our 3rd) and gave away a dozen door prizes. This was the first year we added a DJ to the event and Mel Rose Plays did a fine job for us. As the show continues to grow and we get better at hosting the event, we will add more trophies and door prizes! We will also move the DJ to the center of the lot instead of at the top under the pavilion, so everyone can hear. This years winners were:

Best in Show 73 Challenger By: Arnold Darnell
Best Pick Up 41 Chevy By: Steve Delp
Best Street Rod 23 T-Bucket By: William Harrington
Best Custom 51 Chevy By: Chris Maistros

Lodge Repairs
We lost the two back A/C units Saturday and were fighting with a cooler leak in the main bar. With two hall rentals scheduled, Zumba classes on going, and a Moose Legion Ceremony scheduled for TODAY, we were in need of help --- all I had to do was ask!

Phil met me at 7:30 AM Sunday and we made a bigger hole in the floor under the cooler unit to deal with the drain hose (kinked under floor). Used a vibrating hand-saw that got up tight to the joist for a targeted cut and it worked really well. A 25 minute fix and one Bloody Mary later we were good to go.

Charlie showed up shortly after to tend to the A/C. Two outdoor heat pumps were in trouble - both supporting the Hall. One had a capacitor fail (looked like a fat whisky flask with 3 leads on top). The other had breaker tripped due to condensation triggering a sensor up in the attic. Another Bloody Mary later and we were blowing cold air!

Thanks for the Help!

Women's Bathroom Remodel
Fund raising is complete and we will be investing about $3,000.00 in labor and materials to renovate the ladies restroom in the social quarters. Most of the materials are already on-site. Stalls are on order but due to a special order for a larger door on one of the units, shipping is delayed.

If anyone can lend a hand please let me know - we will perform the rip-out at a date to be confirmed later next week in mid to late August.

Parking Lot Repair
The Lodge raised $1,500 this year to have the main pot holes in the entrances patched. Work was completed during the 3rd week of July. We opted to just patch out front for now and will begin saving and fund raising for a complete parking lot repaving.

Expectations are that if we can continue business at current levels and hold some promotional/fund raising events, that we should be able to fully fund this project by late 2019.
